License
End User License Agreement.
StatEze is proprietary software authored by Ali Alsayegh. The EULA governs your right (if any) to access, install, copy, modify, distribute, or otherwise use the software. The summary below describes the EULA's main effects. If anything here conflicts with the canonical EULA on GitHub, the canonical EULA controls.
1. No license by default
The EULA does not grant you any right to use the software. All use requires a separate written license between you and Ali Alsayegh. This applies to commercial, academic, research, personal, educational, charitable, and governmental use.
2. Evaluation and beta access
If you have been granted access for evaluation, demonstration, beta testing, or preview, that access is conditional on the confidentiality obligations described below and may be revoked at any time without notice. Evaluation access is not a productive licence.
3. Confidentiality
If you are granted access, you agree to keep confidential the source code, algorithms, pipelines, methods, designs, internal documentation, and unreleased features of the software. You agree not to publish detailed feature descriptions, screenshots, video demonstrations, benchmarks, or technical analyses without prior written consent. Confidentiality survives for at least five years after access ends, and longer where the information remains a trade secret.
4. Intellectual property
The software and all related intellectual property — copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patent rights (filed or to be filed), and the “StatEze” name and marks — are owned by Ali Alsayegh. Nothing on this page or in the EULA grants you any right in those properties except as expressly stated in a separate written licence.
5. Third-party components
StatEze incorporates open-source libraries (such as pandas, scipy, statsmodels, and FastAPI), each under its own licence. The EULA's restrictions apply to the StatEze software itself, not to those independent open-source components. See the NOTICE file in the source repository for the full list.
6. Commercial licensing
Use by or on behalf of an organization — including university departments, academic research groups, and other institutional or commercial entities — requires a separate commercial licence. To inquire, email info@stateze.com with a description of your intended use, or open a GitHub issue with the label commercial-license.
7. No warranty
The software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. Ali Alsayegh disclaims, to the maximum extent permitted by law, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and does not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ali Alsayegh's aggregate liability under the EULA is capped at the amount, if any, you have paid for the software in the twelve months preceding a claim. Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, and exemplary damages are excluded. The full liability section in the canonical EULA is controlling.
9. Termination
Access may be terminated for breach (immediately) or for convenience (with 30 days' notice). On termination, you must stop using the software, delete all copies and any confidential information you hold, and certify deletion if requested.
10. Governing law
The canonical EULA designates the State of California, U.S.A. as the governing law. The Terms of Service (governing use of the hosted Service) designate Ontario, Canada. The Privacy Policy is jurisdiction-neutral. If you need clarity on which document governs your situation, contact info@stateze.com.
11. Read the full text
This summary cannot replace the canonical EULA. Read the full document before relying on the software for any purpose: EULA.md on GitHub. For the commercial-licensing overview, see LICENSE-COMMERCIAL.md. Third-party component licences are listed in NOTICE.
